MEET THE BAKER

Austin Ashenbrenner is a self-taught home baker who loves the process of creating and learning about bread from start to finish. More importantly, he enjoys sharing that bread with his friends and family. 

Austin began baking eleven years ago while living in a small town in Kansas that didn’t have a local bakery.  Craving a bagel, he began looking up recipes online and discovered that he had everything he needed to give it a shot.  The bagels turned out pretty well.  A cookbook came for his next birthday gift followed by a few online classes. One thing led to another, and he was hooked.

Austin still enjoys making bagels, but he has expanded his repertoire to include some of the fun recipes that you’ll get to enjoy through your New Day Baking Membership. 

Today, Austin lives in Duvall, WA and spends many of his weekends baking for his wife and two kids.
